They say let’s change our National Flag, Let’s get one of our
own
I do hope we keep our Flag, it’s the only one we’ve
known
Whatever had brought this on, it really has got
me
I doubt it if they know themselves, maybe
jealousy
The Union Jack that grace our Flag, tells us where we’re
from
The Southern Cross gives us hope, to a country free and
strong
The Natives of Australia are the true children of this
land
And we’re a multi-cultural country, to our neighbours we lend a
hand
Under our Flag we proudly fly, we stand united as
one
We show the world we live in peace, beneath the Aussie
sun
So why should we change our Flag, mate I’m asking
you
It seems that you’re not proud, to call yourself true
blue
We pay respect to the ANZAC’s, proudly raise our Flag for
them
And walk the city streets old son, to remember those back
when
The diggers who fought and fell at war, defending this land of
ours
And if they should ever change our Flag, it’s disrespect
somehow
World War II and Vietnam, we proudly remember
too
And our Soldiers who are still at war, over the ocean wide and
blue
We are grateful for your service, in a war that’s not our
own
May God be with you all, and may he bring you safely
home
This Flag of ours mean the world to us, so why change it
now?
Don’t let it go down in history, though I guess it will
somehow
Those who wish to change our Flag, it’s only out of
spite
Just ask them who settled this land, and see how far I’m
right
Let us proudly fly our Aussie Flag, I hope they let it
be
Brave Soldiers gave their lives, while defending their
country
And if they ever change the Flag, It will change history
too
The true meaning
of a Nation, will be lost once the Flag is new
